At a Glance: Google+ Everyone
Google’s social networking platform, Google+, is violently growing, breaking through the 62,000,000 user mark just weeks ago. predictions have estimated that number is looking to grow by 625,000 fresh users daily. Paul Allen, founder of Ancestry.com, writes about explanations for the violent growth, “It may be the holidays, the TV commercials, the Android 4 signups, celebrity and brand appeal, or positive word of mouth or a combination of all these factors, but there is no question that the number of new users signing up for Google+ each day has accelerated markedly in the past several weeks.” Though they have yet to beat their week end high of 15 million visits on September 24, they are getting pretty stinking close, hitting 9.4 million at the end of the week of December 17. Continuing with this increase, the amount of ”Google+ers”is predicted to break 100 million near the end of February, 200 million by the beginning of August, and then almost 300 million by the end of this year.
